Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at Sydney@actionky.org if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Most ACTION Inc therapists only see children ages 3-18 years old. We have one therapist who specializes in helping parents with daily struggles. She sees mothers and fathers for individual therapy to assist with their family's needs.

Yes. Most of our services are covered by Kentucky Medicaid and we accept most private insurance plans for therapy services. We will work with you to obtain any required pre-approvals before services begin. TCM and Peer Support Services are only covered by Medicaid.

If you have Medicaid or qualifying insurance, there is typically no out-of-pocket cost. Some special events or classes may have a small fee, but we always strive to keep our programs affordable.

TCM connects your family to community resources, supports you in navigating systems like school and healthcare, and helps create a plan to meet your goals. A TCM staff member will work alongside you until your needs are met.

During the intake process, our team will talk with you about your child’s needs and recommend the services that will provide the best fit.

Most services are provided at our office location at 1719 Ashley Circle in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Certain services may also be available in schools, the community, or virtually, depending on the program and your needs. Most groups and programs will be held at our College Street location.

Yes! We would love for you to do that! Please list the provider you would like to work with on your referral form when you fill it out to request services.

100%! You should still expect to meet with one of our therapists to begin services, but they will connect you with others after that initial session. This will not disrupt services with your other therapist at all.

It’s simple:

  1. Fill out our referral form at actionky.org/referrals

  2. Our team will contact you within 1-2 business days

  3. We’ll schedule an intake to match you with the right services
