Meet Our Board of directors

 I graduated from WKU with a Bachelor in Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts - Criminology, in 2016. In 2017, I graduated with my Master of Social Work degree and began working toward my LCSW, which I currently hold. I am employed as a Certified Youth Mental Health Specialist and have experience in community work, foster care & adoption, case management, behavior therapy, and trauma treatment. I moved to Bowling Green in 2013, saw the need, and am striving to meet that need with this program. The support that we have received from the community has been unimaginable and beautiful. I look forward to continuing to offer services for our youth!

 My name is Ashley Shell. I am a wife and a mother to 3 wonderful children. I graduated from Campbellsville University with a Bachelors in Social Work in 2022. I am currently enrolled in the Masters of Social Work, Advanced Standing Clinical Track at Campbellsville University.
I currently work as the Early Childhood Consultant for the 10-county region of Warren, Butler, Barren, Logan, Simpson, Allen, Monroe, Hart, Edmonson, and Metcalfe counties. I work with children ages 0-5 who have been impacted by substance use. I also work with mothers who have children 0-5 with a history of or current substance use. I also have experience in adult crisis services as a Behavioral Health Specialist, providing individual, family, and group therapies to clients who are in crisis.
I am honored to be a board member of ACTION, Inc. After working with ACTION as an intern for my BSW degree, I knew that I wanted to continue to work with this agency after seeing the difference that ACTION has made in the lives of the adolescents we serve, as well as their families. I strongly believe in the mission of ACTION, and recognize the importance of mentorship and education of our community’s youth. We have already seen the impact that our mission has made in the lives of the children and transitional age youth that we serve, and I can’t wait to see what impact we can make going forward. 

 I graduated from WKU with a bachelors in nursing in 2017. In 2021 I finished my masters degree in nursing education. I currently work at SKYCTC as an assistant nursing professor. As a board member, I plan to spread the word of ACTION Inc amongst the community to help bridge the gap of mentorship in our youth population. 

  I'm Brionna Pigram. I'm a wife and mom of six kids and an awesome dog named Peter Pan. I got my Master's in Social Work from Western Kentucky University in 2023. Right now, I work as a clinical therapist, helping people deal with trauma and improve their daily lives. In my free time, I love traveling, trying new foods, and hanging out with my friends and family. The mission of ACTION Inc. resonates with me on a profound level due to my unwavering dedication to empowering today's youth. I fully align with ACTION’s commitment to dismantling obstacles for young people and their families, offering comprehensive support to enhance their mental well-being, educational pursuits, emotional resilience, transitional challenges, and behavioral growth. ACTION Inc. is an amazing program and I am grateful to be apart of it! 

  I'm Madison Lindsey! I have an incredible husband, graduated from WKU in 2017 and made Bowling Green my forever home. I work as Marketing Director for Bowling Green Tourism where I get to share my love for BGKY by promoting all the fun attractions, events, and things to do with visitors.

I'm honored to serve on the board of ACTION, Inc under the leadership of Sydney Jones, Executive Director. I've had the pleasure of having Sydney as my childhood best friend for over 25 years now and over the years I have learned nothing stops her from reaching her goals and she has made such a positive impact in creating ACTION for the Bowling Green community.

Her dedication to impact the lives of children inspired me to serve on the board, and I look forward to making connections, marketing, and overall helping ACTION further integrate within the community and its teens! 

 My name is Jasmine Bass. I have two amazing daughters who are always keeping me on my toes. I graduated from WKU with my MSW in 2018 and would do it all over again as I met some of the best social workers along the way. I work at the Kentucky Career Center as the Chief Career Advisor for CareerTEAM. The best part about my job there is getting to assist the participants in eliminating their barriers to self-sufficiency. I have a very diverse background and have worked with the foster care system, hospice, long-term care, and children's crisis services. Serving on the board of ACTION, Inc. has been aspiring as I have witnessed it from the ground up and love to see how far the program has come and ready to see how far the program will continue to go and the populations it will reach. 

  I'm Korina Lee, a 34 year old Bowling Green resident with all kinds of activities/programs to keep me busy. I thoroughly enjoy being involved in our community and helping in ways within my abilities!

I am a co-owner of a childcare facility here in town and with a great team, I am able to trust our staff and leaders to manage the business so I may give my time to various non-profits.

First, and most importantly, I am a mother to a near teenage daughter. She is very involved with multiple activities offered to her and I diligently strive to support each avenue she wishes to explore.

I am the current president of the Bowling Green Warren County Jaycees. This organization offers many opportunities for networking and community outreach to include the SoKy fair and the Christmas Parade.

My daughter and I provide foster for the Humane Society animals who need some extra care before their forever home is available.

I have been on the ACTION board since Sydney had us a backyard picnic during covid and I am always so thrilled and prideful for all the work she's put in to make this organizational vision come to fruition!

Overall, my goal in all of this, is to provide a safe, loving, and positively guided outlet for the youth in our community. Not everyone has that but EVERYONE deserves someone to care about them and their future!  

 Kaleb Whitworth holds a Masters degree in counseling and human development with a specialization in mental health counseling from Lindsey Wilson College, and he obtained a graduate substance abuse counseling certificate from Lindsey Wilson College. He completed his undergraduate studies in psychology at University of Phoenix. He is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor-Supervisor (LPCC-S), Temporary Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (TCADC) under supervision to become a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC) and International Certified Gambling Counselor-Level I (ICGC-I). He is a Certified DUI Assessor as well. He has over six years of experience providing professional counseling services to individuals, groups and families, and he enjoys focusing his work on matters relating to susbtance and process addictions. He is a proud member of the National Associciation for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse counselors and the Kentucky Counseling Association.
